The decorating of the sukkah will be held at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 23. There will be pizza and dessert. There is no cost and no reservations are required. This will be a joint service with B’nai Jacob, held at the Temple.
“Sukkot” is a Hebrew word meaning “booths” or “huts.” The holiday of Sukkot originated with the fall harvest festival, and later came to symbolize the temporary shelters of the Israelites during the Exodus. Join in observing this holiday that our ancestors considered important enough to call “Hekhag,” “The Festival.”
