Temple Israel partners with several charities serving the Kanawha Valley. We are founding members of

• The Religious Coalition for Community Renewal (RCCR), which develops projects and programs to identify, address, and overcome obstacles that keep people from decent, affordable housing.
• Covenant House, which helps people with the fewest resources meet their basic needs: food, clothing, and shelter.
• Manna Meal, which serves two meals a day (breakfast & lunch), 365 days a year, to individuals and families that include the homeless, mentally challenged, and under-employed workers, as well as people who simply cannot make ends meet.

Temple Israel Sisterhood supports the YWCA of Charleston’s Sojourner’s Shelter for Women and Families.

Temple Israel is a member of Kanawha Valley Interfaith Council.
