Join our Shabbat & Simchat Torah evening service.

We will open the Zoom session at 5, and begin the service at 5:30.

This week, we include observance of Simchat Torah.  Shemini Atzeret/Simchat Torah is observed in the Reform movement and in Israel on Saturday, October 10th. In many Conservative and Orthodox communities outside Israel, Simchat Torah is observed on Sunday, October 11th.

There will be a brief reading from the Torah for this week for the Holiday.

In observing Simchat Torah, we will read a very brief passage from Deuteronomy, and another from Genesis, so that we both complete and begin the cycle of Torah readings without pause. Our selections will be from Deuteronomy 34 and Genesis 1.

Additionally (though we will not include it), the traditional Maftir reading is from Numbers 29:35-30:1.  The Haftarah is from Joshua 1:1-18.

Friday, October 9⋅5:00 – 6:30pm
